JOB TITLE:
Diesel Mechanic Wanted!
Our company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our trucking fleet. While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, our ideal candidate is also comfortable working as a technician who can diagnose and repair technology issues in newer trucks. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants need a valid driver's license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Diesel Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
- Prepare work orders and order parts Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Diesel Mechanic Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- Valid commercial driver's license a plus
- Diesel technician experience
- Experience with small diesel engine repair
- Some welding experience required
- Mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
